Welcome to the peace initiative for Ukraine in which you can contibute by raising your awareness as well as your consciousness[+] and spirit to the modes[+] of neutrality[*], decency, respectfulness, wisdom[*], objectivity, mastery of the intellect, surrender (ego and mind to God’s will), and finally peace (inner then outer). To properly grasp everything, we recommend reading the articles of this peace initiative in the order that we[*] designed it, which is listed in the Contents. So if you haven’t read the previous articles, we urge you to do it, please. Did you read the Intro to this “Beware of Propaganda” segment? Please, do so for a better grasp of the topic of this article.
Before we provide the brief guidelines on how to detect fake news or lies or disinformation, we would like to emphasize the importance of doing it.
Most people believe they know the truth because they blindly trust their authorities who serve them all the alleged facts. Trust is a virtue as long as we do not trust those institutions or individuals who have proven to be liars. Trusting liars is not a virtue, quite the opposite. Trust is not being foolish or naïve but wise.
Unknowingly, many people resist the inconvenient truth out of ignorance and presumption that truth is only that which serves them or that which they prefer to be truth. If truth hurts, common people tend to resist or deny it and even attack the bearers of truth if they are the bearers of bad news.
We see that often on TV and social media, whenever anyone dares to expose lies or reveal true facts. Such brave individuals are always attacked and labeled as Russian trolls, Putin agents, stooges of Moscow, Kremlin propagandists, and such. Somehow, many common people who have no first-hand access to the events in Ukraine, but only know what they heard from their unreliable sources, foolishly deem themselves to be arbitrators of truth. They never question their sources even though the same sources are known to have been lying in the past on too many occasions.
Even knowingly, many people resist the inconvenient truth out of presumption that certain truths may be harmful and some lies may be beneficial – this is a very shallow or short-sighted view of reality, which brings more harm than good in the end. Like lying about casualties’ figures or alleging deliberate attacks on civilians to blemish the enemy. But even if some lies never get exposed, liars always get their punishment in the court of God and by the universal laws such as sowing and reaping. So, it is easy to spot liars by their fruits. If they get into big troubles, you can be sure they lie a lot, although all troubles do not result from lies but most are linked to some lies.
Bible, Matthew 7:15-18[+]: “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them… A good tree cannot bear bad fruit.”
You would be hard-pressed to find a single good “fruit” from Zelensky ever since he is a President. The disaster in Ukraine is all on him – he rejected all peace deals (Minsk agreements[+] and 2022 Istanbul deal[+][+][+][+][+][+]), which ensured Ukraine keeping its pre-2022 borders, as well as rejected all peace proposals (from China, Brazil, Indonesia, the African peace mission, etc.) and peace mediation (Pope Francis[+]) to at least save the rest of the country and many precious lives. And what did he achieve that has any value? Not a single thing. Short-term self-enrichment[+][+] and world recognition are feigning; he is being rejected left and right from all sorts of events123 and governments, such as EU-LA Summit4[+], Romania[+][+], US Congress5[+], Israel[+]. As fish rots from the head down, bad leaders destroy their followers or communities. Heads of state bear the greatest responsibility for their countries. Bad leaders tend to blame their failures on others. Just as a bad workman always blames his tools, a bad leader never takes responsibility. Have you ever heard President Zelensky take any responsibility for anything that goes bad in his country under his watch? His constant blaming of Russians, allies, other heads of state, corrupt officials, and unsuccessful commanders is so prevalent and petty that most people see through him by now.
It may be somewhat okay to hide truth but it is not okay to lie or be untruthful.
So, one may say “I am not at liberty to say how many Ukrainian soldiers died so far” instead of saying that around 100.000 died when the truth is that more than 500.000 died.
People who are in despair, like many Ukrainians are, tend to resort to lies if truth seems unfavorable. Despair is a consequence of man's rejection to live by God's laws or commandments. One of God’s Ten Commandments in Judeo-Christan faith is: you shall not bear false witness - it's offence against Holy Spirit or God, which is a sin and as all sins, it brings dire consequences. Lying or bearing false witness is condemned in the laws given to Moses by God[?+].
Bible, Exodus 20:16[+]: You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor[?+].
Neighbor is broadly understood as anyone near to us, anyone who listens to us but even in the literal sense, since Russia is Ukraine's neighbor, if any Ukrainian says lies about Russians, their sin will not be forgiven and will be punished by God, one way or another. The same applies to all media and public representatives who deliberately lie or disseminate disinformation to their community or fellow citizens.
Bible, Proverbs 6:16-19[+]: There are 6 things the Lord hates, 7 that are detestable to him: …a lying tongue,… a heart that devises wicked schemes, a false witness who pours out lies.
Resistance to the truth is blasphemy against God and as such is the unforgivable sin[+].
Bible, Hebrews 10:26–31[+]: "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God6. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses7[+] died without mercy...”
Jesus Christ called the Holy Spirit "Spirit of Truth"[+][+][+] and warned[+] us, "every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven."
In other words, blasphemy against the Truth will not be forgiven.
We should all strive to know the truth about everything rather than settle for lies just because they fit our beliefs or level of consciousness. Lying to ourselves or to others is not going to bring desired fruits, quite the opposite. Resistance to finding out the truth is manifest in the unwillingness to challenge one's current beliefs and learn or inform oneself from unbiased or independent sources. Most people are at some lower level of consciousness and as such, they resist or feel threatened by those who challenge their views, even if those outlooks are filled with pessimism, hatred, fears, rivalry, victim mentality, blame game, prejudice, bias, one-sidedness, discrimination, arrogance, and other negative or destructive modes of consciousness (flaws).
Therefore, it takes courage and special intellectual strength as well as some other virtues to venture on the uphill path of discovery. Rising consciousness may seem arduous to those who prefer just rolling downhill but with the help of the Holy Spirit as the wind beneath one’s wings, it is above all rewarding. By reaching the top of a hill, one may gain a much better perspective or worldview that reveals the true reality.
Before we blindly accept anything as truth we should turn to the source of truth or divine light and allow it to inform or guide us of what is really true.
That source is a holy scripture such as Upanishads, Vedas, Huang-Po Teachings, Bhagavad Gita, Zohar, Lamsa Bible8, Dhammapada, Ramayana, Bodhidharma Zen Teachings, Heart Sutra, Koran, Gospel of St. Thomas, Lao Tsu Teachings, Talmud, Vedanta, Tibetan Book of the Dead, Book of Kells, Torah, or Granth Sahib-Adi.
The point is, whenever we wish to determine whether some news is fake or not, we should consult the source of truth. Of course, there is no info in Bible or any other sacred scripture about who committed massacre in Bucha[+][+] in March 2022, for instance, but there are passages that are universal and can be applied to anything. The mere presence of a source of truth may enlighten us enough to be able intuitively (gut feeling or sixth sense) tell if someone is lying or not.

If we deliberately keep on lying to others or ourselves after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice can redeem that sin – it is the unforgivable sin that will be punished with premature death[+].
the law of Moses[+] is the law that was revealed to Moses by God and is written in the Torah or the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible. The content of the Law includes Ten Commandments, one of which is: you shall not bear false witness - it's offence against Holy Spirit or God
Lamsa Bible[+][+] is the Holy Bible from Ancient Eastern Manuscripts that was published by George M. Lamsa in 1933, derived from the Syriac Peshitta – the Aramaic New Testament was written before the Greek version. The Lamsa version of the bible (translated from Aramaic, Jesus’ language) is more accurate than the King James Version (translated from Greek). Jesus was likely multilingual but principally spoke a Galilean dialect of Aramaic, the ancient Semitic language, and probably also knew Hebrew and Greek languages. Here are two examples of different translations:
An example is found in Matthew 27:46, where Jesus cried Eli, Eli, lmana shabachthani! ( Ἠλί, Ἠλί, λεμὰ σαβαχθανί), Lamsa has "My God, my God, for this I was kept!" where the Greek text has "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?" In Psalms, they are the opening words of Psalm 22 – in the original Hebrew: אֵלִ֣י אֵ֖לִי לָמָ֣ה עֲזַבְתָּ֑נִי "Eli, Eli, lama azavtani", meaning "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?". Aramaic שבקתני, transliterated: šəḇaqtani, is a conjugated form of the verb šǝḇaq/šāḇaq, 'to allow, to permit, to forgive, and to forsake'. The Aramaic form שבק (šbq) "abandon" corresponds to the Hebrew עזב (azav), also meaning "leave, abandon". It makes no sense for Jesus to say this if he knew he came to take all human sins upon himself. Jesus said according to Bible, John 10:15-18[+]: "just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep… The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
Another example of difference between the Peshitta and the Greek New Testament is in Matthew 19:24 as the Aramaic word for 'camel' is written identically to the word for 'rope,' so Matthew 19:24 is commonly translated as, 'It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God' but it should be 'rope' instead of 'camel' as in Lamsa.
