Welcome to the peace initiative for Ukraine in which you can contibute by raising your awareness as well as your consciousness[+] and spirit to the modes[+] of neutrality[*], decency, respectfulness, wisdom[*], objectivity, mastery of the intellect, surrender (ego and mind to God’s will), and finally peace (inner then outer). To properly grasp everything, we recommend reading the articles of this peace initiative in the order that we[*] designed it, which is listed in the CONTENTS. So if you haven’t read the previous articles, we urge you to do it, please. With this article we continue “Peacemaking Mediation” segment in this peace initiative, in which we previously discussed the US Role, the UN Role, the EU Role, and Jesuits Role, so, now we end this segment with The Fundamental Precepts of Peacemaking.
“If wars can be started by lies, peace can be started by truth.” – Julian Assange
As we already explained[*], the war in Ukraine is not just between Ukraine and Russia but ultimately between NATO and Russia whereby NATO only uses poor and corrupt Ukrainians as cannon fodder, and pawns in their geopolitical chess-game to beat Russia and ultimately China so as to preserve American world domination and the globalists’ world order. Therefore, the ultimate peacemaking should take place between NATO and Russia.
However, if Ukraine would assume independence and sovereignty, it could end the war by ceasing to oblige the NATO, which can’t possibly happen under current circumstances in which not only are all relevant Ukrainian politicians corrupted into being NATO-puppets but the Russophobic mass psychosis (manufactured by the CIA and MI6 through Ukrainian equivalent SBU using politicians and mass media with so-called “experts”) is so severe that only a major shock therapy could awaken them out of it.
Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding. They say that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” but the road to peace is paved with virtues. As presented on the scale or map of consciousness[+], the way up to the peace mode leads through other constructive modes of consciousness1 that we call virtues. One such virtue is understanding. But, as Assange pointed out, the road to peace starts with truth (not propaganda in state-sponsored MSM2), with the virtues of honesty sincerity, and (civil) courage, which on the scale or map of consciousness[+] present the constructive modes of consciousness that are at the threshold (200) between destructive and constructive way – at the level of 200 starts the constructive way all the way to peace. Inner peace brings outer peace.
To explain Putin's motives is not to justify his actions. Yet without a clear-eyed understanding of why Russia invaded Ukraine, we have little hope of mediating an end to this conflict and war.
No one is innocent. We can't get out of this unless we all share some of the responsibility and admit our mistakes and omissions.
Truth be told, the possibility of a meaningful peace agreement is close to zero. But there can be peace without an agreement, without peace talks, negotiations, and further killing. In a war where both sides – Ukraine and NATO on one side and Russia on the other – see each other as an existential threat that must be defeated, there cannot be any concessions as long as the existential threat is there. Given maximalist objectives all around, it is almost impossible to reach a workable peace treaty. Treaty no but process yes. There are bloodthirsty warmongers and war profiteers that stand in the way of the peacemaking process but they can't stop it, no one can – it is part of nature and natural flow. The only issue is time – how long before a paradigm shift occurs, which is why this peace initiative is conceived, to speed up the process by raising the collective level of consciousness[+].
The two sides have irreconcilable differences regarding territory and Ukraine’s relationship with NATO, so how do we square that circle? We don’t. We allow universal laws to take their course by not resisting the natural process. Those who resist it and in regard to the war in Ukraine indulge in negative modes of consciousness such as fear, worry, hatred, anger, blame, sadness, or any other below the 200 mark on the scale of consciousness[+] are deferring the peace process. Those who raise their consciousness above the 200 mark speed up the process because, in our holographic, entangled universe, our energies matter and shift things.
To start any peacemaking process, there need to be some fundamental precepts implemented by the conflicting parties and their allies. The most important ones are honesty, justice, and the Golden Rule[+] – the principle of treating others as one wants to be treated.
Ukrainians are understandably furious about the Russian aggression as much as the Russians are furious about the Ukrainian aggression on Russian ethnic for many years but for the sake of peacemaking, none should treat the other in ways that they would not like to be treated, such as with disrespect. This is the golden principle of fairness. Clearly, Ukrainians and Russians have lost respect for each other but some level of respect needs to be reinstated to be able to come to terms with this or any other peace initiative, which is possible when it is understood that respectfulness is a human virtue rather than a commodity to be used on occasion. We are either respectful human beings or we are not – it has nothing to do with others but with our nature, our level of consciousness. We respect others not because they deserve it but because it is our nature. Disrespectful neglect of the needs of others is never going to bring peace and is a sign of a weak character, which is why we are asking belligerents to activate and cultivate the virtue of respect. Or, at least, to renounce disrespect.
“If you have the choice between being right and being kind, choose being kind.” – Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
“If you have the choice between being right and being respectful, choose being respectful.” – Talidari
Like any other virtue, respectfulness has nothing to do with others or the outside world but with our own level of consciousness. Being respectful has to do with character. We are all respectful because we are respectful humans and not because others deserve our respect. Even the worst of us can be respectful to those who respect them – it takes no strength of character to respect those who respect us back, but those with the best character cultivate unconditional respectfulness, respecting even those with whom they are in disagreement (such people never come in conflict with anyone).
The most advanced human beings are those who, knowing there is polarity in everything and everyone, have transcended the duality thinking that dissects everything in dualistic terms, such as good or bad, right or wrong, and so they grace themselves with qualities of unconditional love and respect. If this is too much to ask from the national leaders, then we ask only to read this peace initiative thoroughly till the end because we provide other perspectives with many explanations and reasonings that could be somewhat taken as justifications for the wrongdoings of others, which might bring some sort of understanding that could then reduce or eliminate the disrespect and facilitate making proposed concessions. There can be no truce between the conflicted nations if disrespect is still there because it breeds disregard for the provisions of this peace initiative. If any leader is not able to raise their consciousness to the level of unconditional respect, it is required at least to abandon the disrespect during the peacemaking considerations.
Wars are always horrible but the worst war is a fraternal war. Russians and Ukrainians belong to the same Eastern Slavic kinfolk3, which makes them kindred spirits or brothers, hence this war is a brotherly war.
In the old pre-Christian days of the glorious, peace-loving Proto-Slavic Vedic culture a couple of thousand years ago, there were no tribal wars and all the disputes among the people of Slavic kinfolk were solved at the Council of Elders rather than by foreign arbitrators or tribunals. As soon as foreigners started to intrude and influence, already in BC before the turn of the Anno Domini, credulous Slavs gradually deteriorated unsuspectingly adopting foreign chauvinistic and self-destructive concepts, which culminated by adopting a foreign religion, which however well-intentioned paved the way to hell for the Slavs (despite them being the largest ethnolinguistic group in Europe, they are most oppressed and have the least cultural and political power in Europe and world). There was a good reason why in the old good days no foreigners were allowed to interfere let alone arbitrate or judge the intern tribal disagreements. Foreigners have their own interests and agenda, which is why they sometimes resort to using the divide-and-conquer strategy to exploit a conflict to achieve their objectives. It would be imprudent to presume that foreigners should have Ukrainian best interests at heart. For a naïve, unsuspecting Ukrainian nation with amateur dilettantes (a comedian, a movie producer, a boxer, oligarchs, etc.) as political leaders and diplomats, it is easy to get deceived by foreigners’ seemingly noble posing as benefactors and their polished appearances or pretentious ethos. Like with a wolf in sheep's clothing, it would be wise not to rely on predatory foreign arbitrators and their foxy promises. When they give, it is only because they expect much more in return, which is only natural in the capitalistic world we live in, as they have to serve and put first the interests of their own nations. Kudos to the rare exceptions.
So, in the absence of the Council of the Wise Slavic Seniors, as Slavs, virtuologues, and elderly, by not taking sides, we offer our non-aligned, virtue-driven services for the peace-making process.
We are aware that the Secretary-General of the United Nations appointed Amin Awad of Sudan as Assistant Secretary-General to serve as United Nations Crisis Coordinator for Ukraine. No disrespect but we doubt that an African or Sudanese can understand the deep-rooted issues of Slavic nations or coordinate the crisis in Ukraine let alone provide a viable solution to end this crisis, which is validated by the fact that he has no results to show for it. Even though this may be a US or NATO proxy war[+][*], the fighting is between two Slavic nations and should be resolved among the Slavs in a Slavic manner, considering Slavic core values. Just like the aforementioned cats should have not involved a monkey in their dispute, the Slavs should not rely on an African or any other foreigner (including biased Secretary-General António Guterres or any other officials antagonistic to Russia or Ukraine) to solve their conflict and make peace.
“Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice.” – Spinoza, Theologico-Political Treatise, 1670.
"True peace is not merely the absence of war; it is the presence of justice." – Martin L. King
No one cannot solve problems at the same level of thinking that they were when they created those problems. This aphorism from Albert Einstein may be a key to solving problems and proves true in the ongoing conflicts in which the same level of thinking has not solved anything. The way forward is to raise our level of thinking by raising our level of consciousness[+].
People of different levels of consciousness[+] interpret the same texts quite differently because they read everything through the filters of their biased minds. This is why we appeal to everyone to open their minds and cultivate neutrality and objectivity.
It might be very difficult for Ukrainians to grasp this peace initiative, particularly for those who are deeply anchored in the “victim mentality”, bias, and Russophobia[+] because they are so entrenched in the survival modus that they perceive everything and everyone as threats or menaces, even the peacemakers. As Ukrainians, they rightfully believe that they best know what is good for Ukraine and what the real situation there is but this is not true currently because their perception is blurred or twisted due to being engrossed in the low, destructive (or unconstructive) modes of consciousness such as hopelessness, despair, misery, sadness, grief, fear, criticism, victimhood, hatred, anger, vengefulness, resentment, bitterness, skepticism, insulting, rage, aggressiveness, denial, pride, rivalry, ruthlessness, blame, inconsiderateness, pessimism, irresponsibility, and other flaws that rank below 200 on the scale of consciousness[+].
It is impossible to think clearly or rationally when one is predominately in any of these toxic modes of consciousness. This is why Ukrainians are uncooperative toward any peace talks and are in no position to solve the conflict and war with Russia without any virtues-based help. What their allies are doing is not really helping but are fanning the flames and prolonging their misery by providing military aid to fight a war that they can never win, though. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
“The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still small voice within me.” – Gandhi
With all that in mind, we appeal to Ukrainians to allow the possibility that due to their misery, they might not be able to perceive everything clearly or as it is, as well as the possibility that they have been subjected to foreign (Western) anti-Russian propaganda for too long to be able to distinguish truth from lies or right from wrong. We ask everyone to approach this peace initiative with an open mind as we try to put every issue into perspective so as to enable everyone to see the whole picture, from all sides, in order to discard any bias and prejudices. After all, bias and prejudices lead to further disagreements and conflict rather than peace or solution.
As long as Ukrainians hold onto one-sidedness or assume moral superiority over Russians, whilst being inconsiderate of the needs of their Russian minorities and their neighbor Russia, they will never be able to live in peace with them. No peace agreement may last unless this underlying issue is resolved. The ideal remedy is compassion. But this is only something advanced and morally superior human beings can do for their adversaries, like Jesus preaching to turn the other cheek.
Likewise, we appeal to Russians to do the same – to be open-minded enough to allow the possibility that they might not be able to perceive everything as it really is, as well as the possibility that they have been subjected to anti-Western propaganda just as the Ukrainians might have been subjected to anti-Russian propaganda.
It might all be part of a foreign divide-and-conquer tactic to exploit a conflict to achieve their objectives, thus both Russians and Ukrainians should make sure not to fall for it. More compassion for the weak may allow open-mindedness to find a peaceful solution rather than resorting to war.
“I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. But I believe that nonviolence is infinitely superior to violence, forgiveness is more manly than punishment, forgiveness adorns a soldier.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” - Gandhi
“A mouse hardly forgives a cat when it allows itself to be torn to pieces by her. ... I do not believe myself to be a helpless creature. Only I want to use India's and my strength for a better purpose. Let me not be misunderstood. Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” - Gandhi
On that note, if Ukraine sees itself as a helpless creature like a mouse and Russians as a cat, then it would be understandable not to forgive but if it sees itself as noble as Gandhi and his followers, then it should adorn itself with nonviolence and forgiveness. The same applies to the Russian minority or anyone else who sees themselves as a victim of terror.
Since this is a peace initiative, we invite all readers to approach this reading from the inner peace mode of consciousness to gain all the benefits and be able to bring peace to the world or at least to Ukraine and Russia. This might be a too far-fetched request for most of our readers, so we invite you to raise your consciousness to the highest possible mode as presented on the scale of consciousness[+] because only then you will be able to take the most out of this peace initiative that stands for non-violence. The higher your consciousness at the time of this reading is, the more benefit you will be able to gain from it, regardless of your background, nationality, education level, gender, age, or anything else. It is the current consciousness mode and your general consciousness level that counts the most in any learning and achieving your goals. Let your one goal be as ours presented here: to end the war, or to resume peace. And let your virtues of open-mindedness and objectivity come forth while reading this peace initiative.
“Non-violence is the summit of bravery.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Anyone can be violent. It is easy. No courage is needed for it.
Foreign policymakers have a cookie-cutter formula that relies overly on power and interests, neglecting certain values, such as virtues, human rights, civic freedoms, the industriousness of a nation, and above all human dignity – although they claim to further those values whenever it serves their agenda. They also neglect the importance of institutions that embody those values. But it is precisely these values and institutions that in the long run determine a country’s success or failure and its behavior on the international stage.
We all need to be cautious of those who shroud themselves with the cloak of diplomacy, all the while hiding from view the gun they hold behind their backs. In the case of the ongoing so-called Russo-Ukrainian war, which is a de facto NATO-Russian war, the majority of foreign policymakers among Ukrainian allies endorse nothing but military resolution. There has been no viable peace proposal so far, none that would in the slightest address any Russian demands or concerns.
A few Western politicians who have shown some sense of objectivity, neutrality, rationality, and open-mindedness needed for diplomatic rather than military termination of this war, such as Viktor Orban, early Emmanuel Macron, Donald Trump, Croatian President Zoran Milanović[+], Bulgarian President Rumen Radev[+][+][+][+], Slovakian Prime Minister Fico[+], and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, have all been dismissed and criticized, their non-anti-Russian comments condemned – what does that say about the state of diplomacy regarding this war?
In the Western hate culture, anyone who doesn't hate Putin and Russians is treated as a criminal, which says a lot about the West. In their hateful and bigheaded frame of mind, Ukraine and its allies are not willing to make any concessions toward Russia, many of them are nothing but bloodthirsty warmongers and are known for militarized foreign policy, which makes it totally impossible to negotiate a peace deal.
All of us who prefer this war to end with a speedy peace agreement rather than with military exhaustion that could take years and cost millions of lives along with colossal destruction of Ukrainian structures and infrastructure, cannot rely on governmental foreign policymakers to propose a settlement and end this war. Since our high officials endorse only military termination of the war, this peace initiative relies not on them but on the grassroots movement, which requires the public to engage – not in protests or resistance movement but in raising consciousness[+] and awareness.
It would suffice to help out in that this peace initiative reaches as many hands as possible and to read it open-mindedly. The power of this peace initiative lies in the power of words and the benevolent energy behind them which should impulsively trigger corresponding behavior. Anyone who reads it, even if they disagree with some or many points, their consciousness and awareness will rise to some extent, which means that their behavior and actions will also gradually change for the better.
Whether this is a US-NATO proxy war or not, it does not legitimize in any way the Russian military aggression in Ukraine. There are enough reasons, based on moral principles, to disapprove of the war without submitting to the narrow-minded, regressive, and deceitful narrative concocted by NATO and the Western corporate media. Regardless of whether they come from the people of the US, NATO, EU, Ukraine, or Russia, we reject all justifications for war based on the obsolete concept of “national defense” and nationalism camouflaged as patriotism. We are not in favor of the war policies of warmongering political leaders because we are for the unity of the Russian and Ukrainian people who might have succumbed to the “divide and conquer” foreign imperial tactic.
It needs to be made very clear that in accordance with the UN Charter[+], Russia “made no territorial changes against the wishes of the local people and the right to self-determination for all peoples”. Both authorities of Crimea and Donbas regions’ local majority, constituting of Russian ethnicity, Russophones4 and Russophiles5, asked Russia to intervene because the anti-Russian, pro-EU Ukrainian government has denied them their human rights and in the case of Donbas6[+][+] has been killing them for years, which constitutes a humanitarian crisis, similar to that in Kosovo.
Therefore, Russia didn't “invade” Ukraine but intervened at the request of the local authorities for the protection of the locals who were discriminated against and terrorized by the Ukrainians. The territorial changes were wished for by the local people who have the right to self-determination. Since 2013 at least, the EU has wanted to annex Ukraine but Russian ethnic minority in Ukraine, among many others, didn’t want that as they naturally prefer Russia to the EU. Also, NATO has wanted to annex Ukraine, especially Crimea, which was against the will of the locals but NATO officials bribed the corrupt Ukrainian politicians and media to change that. Russian natives in both Crimea and Donbas were against joining NATO and the EU and wished to declare independence and preferred to integrate into the Russian Federation (rather than integrate into the EU). Russia only intervened in the regions where the majority of locals/natives are Russians.
Frankly, how insane Ukrainians must be to believe that they could poke a bear and get away with it! They counted on NATO to rescue them but NATO is not God, although their leaders act as if they are. There are God's laws and everyone reaps what they sow eventually. You can’t murder thousands of ethnic Russians and assume mighty Russia and almighty God would allow it, otherwise you are just stupid.
Russians tried for 8 long years to solve the issues through diplomacy and with signed agreement but emboldened by NATO, Ukraine kept violating all agreements and treaties with Russia, as well as its own Declaration of Independence (where neutrality and honoring ethnic minorities is enshrined), which is why after a humanitarian crisis of many thousands of ethnic Russian civilians being killed, Russian authorities were left with no other choice but to use force to force Kyiv regime7 to honor its words.
After a new revolutionary, anti-Russian, NATO-puppet regime came to power by force rather than democratic means in February 2014, overthrowing a democratically elected government, 8 million of ethnic Russians living in South-Eastern Ukraine (Crimea and Donbas) lost their representatives in the parliament and therefore voted to secede from Ukraine and rejoin Russia. As soon as new Kyiv regime violated the human rights of Russian ethnic minorities in February 2014 (ousted their representatives, started the process of revoking the language law, ditched the Constitution), breaking the treaties8 with Russia, then by law, Russia had the legal right to reciprocate by violating its end of the deals, such as not honoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine any longer.
Ever since 1991, there were borders disputes between the two countries and Russia let Ukraine have their way only under certain conditions, so when these conditions were no longer met by Ukraine, then logically, Russia raised the issue of borders, first diplomatically with Minsk agreements for many years but since Ukraine broke all these agreements as well (President Poroshenko, as well as signatories Merkel and Hollande admitted they fooled Russia with those agreements that were only signed to buy time to weaponize Ukraine to then fight and kill Russians), and NATO leaders sabotaged diplomacy efforts, then mighty took matters into its own hands.
After March/April 2022 peace negotiations, which the US and the UK leaders sabotaged again, in September 2022, Zelensky officially banned any future peace talks with the decree №679/2022[+][+][+]. The Russian government, on the other hand, has always been open to negotiating an end to hostilities[*][+]. In October 2022, Russia renewed calls for peace talks but Ukrainian leaders refused to reopen dialogue, and despite their decree that prohibits peace talks with Russia, they have been blaming as usual the Russian government for not being committed to peace and stalling for time while rebuilding its military capabilities for future offensives. What a lame blame. How committed to peace is Ukraine with such a decree in force?
In this peace initiative, we present the only solution to end the war in Ukraine in the shortest time possible. One that no one else has proposed. A novel approach to end wars, as well as to prevent them. This solution is based on raising collective consciousness[+] from the modes of rivalry and animosity to the mode of neutrality and then to peace. It is simple and doable.
But before we spell it out, to make a case for it and get you to distance yourself from the one-sided information you might have been bombarded with and that might have indoctrinated you, robbing you of neutrality, objectivity, and fairness, we would like to impartially shed some light on the state of current affairs and the route the participants are heading. It could be said that it is a road to hell, as they are “knocking on hell's door”. The road to peace is paved with virtues.
In the Bible (Matthew 10:34–36[+]) Jesus was telling his disciples that He came not to bring peace to the world but a sword. Jesus’ sword was never a literal one. In fact, when Peter took up a sword to defend Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus rebuked him and told him to put away his sword, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword” (Matthew 26:52[+]). Jesus also said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9[+]). Why then, did Jesus say, “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” What kind of sword did Jesus come to bring?
The answer is in the following words: “For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.” Reading the whole context, it is clear that Jesus came to turn us against the evil people, those who reject God and Him as the Savior, even if they are family members (the same was advised by Krishna in Hindu Bhagavad Gita). Since 30 AD, the only way of salvation is through Jesus (John 14:6[+]) and those who reject that (Jews, Muslims, atheists, neo-Nazis, etc.) will find themselves perpetually at war with God. But those who come to Him in repentance will find themselves at peace with God.
In Ukraine, we have two brotherly nations fighting against each other – one is run by two Jews (Zelensky and Yermak) who reject Jesus and the other is run by a Christian. This is further evident by their other actions, such as religious persecutions by Kyiv regime, their lies[*] and hate-speech[+], among many other deeds condemned by God.
“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.” – James 1:26[+]
“Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent.” – Proverbs 11:12[+]
“But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.” – Matthew 5:22[+]
“It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” – Matthew 15:11[+]
To put things in perspective, consider whether you have ever conceded to anyone who keeps insulting you or calling you names (besides your boss). You might then see how ridiculous it is to expect a mighty Russian President to concede to any of the bad-mouthed Ukrainian and NATO leaders and their insults, hate-speech, threats, and coercions. Here are just some of the rude, foul language or dirty talk from NATO & Kyiv “diplomats”:
➡ “Vladimir Putin is a war criminal.” – US Senator and presidential candidate John McCain
➡ "He is a war criminal."[+] – US President Joe Biden, referring to Putin. He also called Putin a butcher[»], killer who has no soul[»], murderous dictator, a pure thug[»][»], and crazy son of a bitch[+] – is this how presidents or diplomates should talk?
➡ “Frankly, I would never accept an award from Vladimir Putin because then you kind of give some credence and credibility to this butcher, this KGB agent, which is what he is.” – US Senator and presidential candidate John McCain
➡ "And now Putin is doing just about the same as Hitler." – Prince Charles in 2014, now king Charles III – read here[+][+] why it is inappropriate to compare Putin to Hitler
➡ "…it's what Hitler did back in the '30s," – in March 2014, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose nickname is Hitlery[+][+][+][+] and Killary[+][+][+][+], compared Russian President Vladimir Putin's actions with those taken by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler outside Germany in the run-up to World War II[+][+] US Senators John McCain and Marco Rubio endorsed her comments[+] – read here[+][+] why it is inappropriate
➡ A whole list of American “experts” calling Putin evil and Hitler[»]
➡ "a perfect example of toxic masculinity"– former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the aggression of Russian President Vladimir Putin against Ukraine
➡ “… do we allow countries to be enslaved by tyrants like Putin who deny all democratic rules, who want to introduce terror, who try to enslave others and take advantage of their own potential for their own benefit?”[+] – Polish President Andrzej Duda
➡ “Putin is a maniac”[+] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
"To show his society what he [Putin] values more – occupying Ukrainian territory or protecting his population... He continues to focus on holding the occupied territories while neglecting the protection of his people. He is now bombing his own villages. Hats off to him, really – his people are in shock that they ever believed in this demon...”[+] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (he is clearly projecting, talking about himself, as he was the first to bomb own Ukrainian villages in Donbas for years before Putin sent his troops to rescue the victimized folk. According to his logic that someone bombing his own villages and not protecting his population is a demon, then Zelensky is a demon ever since he took power in 2019. Btw, Putin evacuated all those villages in Kursk, so clearly he protected them, unlike Zelensky, who bombed Ukrainian civilians in Donbas for years.)
“Putin is a sick, cynical creature”[»]9 – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
“Putin is a sick and dangerous”[»] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (you have to watch this to see for yourself who is really sick; the state of him – sickening)
“Putin’s troops are “following the devil.”[+] – Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky
“Putin and Russia are a ring of inhumans”[+] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
"I have no intention of talking to terrorists”[+] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referring to the rebel native inhabitants (separatists, freedom fighters) of the Donbas region
Unlike all other invaded heads of states, it is extreme how much undiplomatic President Zelensky vilifies his counterpart Putin using absolutely every opportunity[+] to slander him or accuse[»][+][+] him of anything without so much as single evidences, which reflects badly on Zelensky, on his reputation, while Putin is not touched with it at all.
When we talk about others, we talk about ourselves. So, Zelensky is mostly projecting and exposing himself, losing respect by being disrespectful. By rudely calling Putin all these ferocious names and using inflammatory language, he is only demeaning himself in the eyes of the world, who know better than fall for it. Putin is the most respected and popular[+] leader in the world, who is a rare head of state loved by foreigners[+][»][+][+][ꚛ][»][+]. Like so many other Western leaders, Zelensky is assuming to be the world’s “value” guardian while being extremely corrupt[+][+][+][+] and lying all the time[*] as if it was his birthright. In a civilized world, defamatory statements are prosecuted because defamation and hate speech violate the law, but such unlawful behavior of Western authorities is not even condemned let alone punished by law, which indicates how “civilized” those Western states are.
In psychology, this phenomenon in which those who condemn or accuse someone of something but are themselves guilty of it (or similar) is called projecting[+][+]. Americans have the idiom for that: "The pot calling the kettle black".
When someone turns the story around to make it seem like someone else is at fault, deflecting attention and blame away from them to make someone else feel guilty, this type of manipulation is called gaslighting[+].
Deflection is the act of blaming another person for your own mistakes or shortcomings rather than accepting the blame or criticism yourself. This type of defensiveness as a coping skill is commonly used to divert the focus or blame away from ourselves, which is also known as diversion. These are all techniques politicians learn to use to manipulate public opinion but in a woke era, they are shooting themselves in the foot with it because when more and more of the public becomes aware of such manipulative techniques, it will be the end of them.
This social aberration is warned against throughout many religious and philosophical scripts, including Bible (Matthew 7:1-5[+]):
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
The moral of this parable is to avoid hypocrisy, self-righteousness, and censoriousness (public scolding or public shaming).
True peace is not merely the absence of war; it is the presence of decency.
The words of every world leader matter. Anyone in diplomatic circles rudely branding the opponent as a “butcher”[»], “dictator”, “thug”[»][»], “liar”, “war criminal”[+], “son of a bitch”[+], “devil”[+], “evil”, “tyrant”[+], “f***ing terrorist”[»], “maniac”[+], “demon”[+], “inhuman”[+], a “sick, cynical creature”[»], or nastily equating him with Hitler[+] are guilty of defamation by law and should be held accountable but, most of all, should not expect respect and concessions from the adversary, which is needed for diplomatic measures to have an effect of ending the war. In a polite, respectful, and civilized society, it is customary to apologize for remarks of this kind.
A person who frequently uses abusive words, inflammatory language, or engages in toxic name-calling is not a worthy diplomat, statesman, or a decent representative of a nation but a defamer or reviler and a fault-finder. Individuals who habitually criticize, insult, or verbally attack others using derogatory or abusive language have no business in politics, let alone peacemaking or, God forbid, in leading a nation. They say they've got to de-escalate and negotiate. Well, then don't call Russian president Hitler or any other derogatory names. If you can't connect those dots, you are not competent to be President.
Name-calling or abusive, insulting rhetoric is unacceptable, inappropriate, and highly counterproductive in diplomatic circles as this only agitates and provokes the opponents to escalate the conflict. It also reveals the critic's low level of decency and how toxic or vulgar they are, which might increase the sympathy from others for the slanderer's adversary because anyone who defies such an abuser must be then a good fellow. Insults, humiliations, verbal abuse, and offensive language as well as inflammatory rhetoric may be allowed among ordinary people but not with diplomats and politicians, let alone national leaders. From our leaders and representatives, we expect good manners, decency, respectfulness, tactfulness, subtlety, discretion, uprightness, dignity, honor, and other such virtues that are needed for diplomacy to yield results. Even if a diplomat or a head of state is right in judging his or her opponent, it’s undignified for them to speak like that in public.
Calling the victims “terrorists” and refusing to talk with them suggests that the actor-turned-politician’s lack of diplomacy education was standing in the way of peace talks.
In April 2021, during the Donbas war[+][+][+], Ukrainian President Zelensky said he had “no intention of talking to terrorists”[+] – referring to the natives (freedom fighters whom they also called “separatists”) of the Donbas region in Ukraine. He doesn't seem to understand the basics of human relationships, such as that if you treat others like terrorists, then you can expect them to treat you back in that manner. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. It would have been much wiser to hear them out and consider their grievances to try to find a diplomatic solution rather than a military one. They were prepared to remain part of Ukraine under certain conditions such as giving them their human and civil rights to use their native language and self-determination.
Russian President Putin[+] may be this or that but at least he is not rude and has the decency to keep his opinions about his individual adversaries to himself (although he collectively rather than personally called them neo-Nazis, idiots[+][+], and only generally accused the West10 of this and that), which could not be said about many other world leaders, especially those from the US[+]. We never heard him use any foul or vulgar language for any person, unlike his Western peers who often engage in disgraceful behavior such as character assassination or public shaming (even his own, such as Donald Trump). For instance, when Biden called the Russian president “crazy son of a b**ch” just days after Putin endorsed him during US presidential campaign, Putin’s response[»] was extremely decent as he said that Joe reacted adequately and he still prefers Joe as the next president of the US. He also had the decency to apologize on several occasions (to Russian athletes[+], Israel[+], Serbia[+], Crimean Tatars[+], former German Chancellor Angela Merkel[+], and more[+]) and admitted mistakes[+], which cannot be said for many of his counterparts and is surely something authoritarians, dictators, or despots wouldn’t do, proving he is not one. The only dirty words we heard him use are “idiots”[+][+] and “scum” but never to describe any particular person but only groups – he called people with neo-colonial thinking and Ukrainian officials "idiots" because they refused to negotiate with Moscow, and Ukrainian neo-Nazis “scum” who have committed horrendous atrocities.
How many world leaders and celebrities do you know who withstand taking advantage of social media to propagate their views and self-promote? It is worth something.
Actually, even Putin’s enemies[»] praised him and can't deny his trustworthy, straightforward, strong, demure, calm, genteel, reserved, discreet, refined, courteous, cultured, and well-mannered appearance, as well as his leadership skills. A leader from a NATO country, Orban, visited him in July 2024 and said[»] that “Putin is more than 100% rational person… very cautious,… disciplined" and he praised his intellectual level.
If we don't count coming late to meetings, he always treats adversaries with respect and never trashes them. He doesn't care what people think of him and doesn't feel the need to correct their lies about him. His mystique and behavior with reserve and decorum may be attributed to him being an introvert (he never posts on social media; his personal life and family are kept secret) but some people lay it on his training while working for KGB. This logic would mean that all people working for the Secret Service are like that, but they are not. Besides, what most people don't know is that he never worked as a spy but was a pen-pusher and recruiter. In other words, he performed mostly administrative duties – no James Bond stunts. He never killed anyone except in a traffic accident (a guy deliberately or by accident threw himself in front of Putin’s car long ago). And he has never been involved in combat. It is not his style to use violence although he might be abusive. Nevertheless, his KGB experiences have surely left some marks on him but his strength of mind, determination, firmness, restraint, self-control, and self-discipline are probably more down to him being a judo master. He’s not afraid of death because he knows that he is immortal as he believes in the immortality of the soul and in God determining life and death. He spends a lot of time in nature and adores animals and children, so he can't be as evil as he is portrayed in Western media. He’s very technology savvy. In fact, he designed his very own anti-javelin missile system which is said to be capable of intercepting 100% of the projectiles fired by the Ukrainian army. Not bad.
Putin canceled more than $20 billion of African nations’ debts[+] and gave more than $32 billion to Cuba[+] – would an evil dictator or imperialist do something like that? This was an act of generosity and pragmatism. Why did he do that? For growth & development of both sides. He wants to trade with Africa, not exploit it.
And let us point to the fact that Putin[+] is seen as a hero by many world leaders, while Biden is admired by no one. For the protocol, Biden is one of the greatest leaders in the world. Just ask him :). Joking aside, just to name a few of Putin’s admirers or sympathizers[+]: Chinese President Xi Jinping, Donald Trump, former Italian deputy prime minister and leader of the Italian League party Matteo Salvini. And the list of Putinversteher[+] (Putin sympathizers and defenders) is also long: prime minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán as well as of Slovakia Robert Fico, former Czech President Miloš Zeman[+], Marine Le Pen[+], former Chancellors of Germany Gerhard Schröder and Helmut Schmidt, the former leader of the Scottish National Party Alex Salmond, and the list goes on.
Though Pope Francis has condemned Russian war crimes and sympathized with Ukrainians’ suffering, he hasn’t condemned Vladimir Putin. Rather, Pope Francis has praised[+][+] him as a man of culture and even suggested that the Russian president has been acting on legitimate security concerns.
However, since the start of the SMO11[+], Pope Francis never tried to communicate with Russian President Putin but he hosted Ukrainian President Zelensky at the Vatican and later also sent his envoy to Kyiv. This is a clear sign of the Vatican rejecting a stance of official neutrality and taking a side with Ukraine despite all the evidence about the Kyiv regime’s fascist laws, its neo-Nazi brigades, and its campaign against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, banning it, persecuting[+][+][+] and evicting its clergy from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.[+][+]
It wouldn't be the first time that a pope and Vatican collaborated with (alleged) Nazis, as recently, Vatican records revealed how during and after WWII, Pope Pius XII (Papacy 1939-1958; Jesuit education) collaborated with Hitler and the Nazis[+]. Also, after World War II, thousands of Nazis fled to South America along so-called ratlines with the help of Catholic clergy[+][+]. Those Vatican records also revealed that Pope Pius XII knew about the mass slaughter of Jews since the fall of 1942[+] but didn't object to it just as he didn't object to the mass slaughter (more than 13.000[+]) of Russian ethnic minorities in Ukraine since 2014 although Italian reporters had been alarming about it and Italian combatants were fighting for them[+]. Just as Pope Pius XII was indifferent to European Jews’ suffering, so has Pope Francis been indifferent to Russians’ suffering. The Vatican only cares to protect the church’s interests.

Many trustworthy, nonpartisan, independent American political analysts, military experts, intelligence officers, and army veterans are also labeled as Putin sympathizers just because they expose the truth, such as judge Andrew P. Napolitano[»] (a former US professor of law, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst, and judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey who has published nine books on the US Constitution), Scott Ritter[+][+][+][+][+][+][+] (former US Marine Corps intelligence officer and UN Special Commission weapons inspector), Col. Doug Macgregor[+][+][+] (retired US Army colonel and former Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of Defense), Col. Anthony Shaffer[+][+] (former US Army Reserve lieutenant colonel and CIA intelligence officer, whistleblower of Bush administration), Larry C. Johnson[+][+] (former analyst at the CIA, a bona fide Son of American Revolutionaries), Ray McGovern[+][+] (former Central Intelligence Agency officer turned political activist, appeared on CNN, BBC, Aljazeera, RT, CCTV and many other TV & radio programs and documentaries), Chris Hedges[»][+][+][+] (Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, a New York Times best-selling author), James Rickards[»] (Economist & Former Advisor To The Pentagon and CIA), John Mearsheimer[»][»][+] (American political scientist and international relations scholar, Professor at the University of Chicago), Brian Berletic[+][+] ( former US Marine and independent geopolitical analyst), and many more brave prominent world experts (voices of reason).
Independent Western journalists and people who interviewed Putin (like 3-Oscar-winner filmmaker Oliver Stone[+]) have only positive things to say about Putin's character and how he or his team, unlike many other leaders, placed absolutely no rules, no restrictions on them on what to ask or not to ask, it was a free-form interview, he never asked for anything, had no desire to see it before it was published, he never tries to charm you (say, to get you on his side), he never misused his power and showed more humility than arrogance.
Politics is a cut-throat game. So, don't expect Putin to please those who vilify him. To achieve any significant position of power in a large state one must be willing to step over dead bodies, lie and manipulate. You simply will not make it to the top otherwise. Almost all prominent politicians of large states fit the Machiavellian personality type. Underneath each of them is a surprisingly similar personality. We should be wary of those that appear “nice". Just an extra manipulative wolf in sheep's clothing.
To turn the course of this war, it is crucial to abandon the bias and duality approach, which compels you to see this and any other conflict as the battle between good and evil, Ukraine and Russia, West and East, or any other duality. Most people in the West live in an illusory black-and-white world, whereby they see Ukraine as good and Russia as evil or vice versa, but this is a distorted view of reality, which compels people to act improperly and antagonistically, which gives rise to more conflicts and wars.
The only way to see reality as it is, is to assume a neutral stance. Only from a mode of neutrality, we can gain objectivity and a clear understanding of both the real causes and a real solution.
This is why we, the authors of this peace initiative, take a neutral stand and invite you to take that stand too. Rivalry or hostility is no way to solve problems. To solve problems, including ending any war, we need to raise above the mode of consciousness that created the problem(s) in the first place. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, according to Albert Einstein.
So, we invite you to raise your consciousness[+] above the dualistic worldview, which fuels the rivalry state of mind, to any constructive modes of consciousness ranked above 200 on the scale of consciousness[+]. If you cannot manage to raise your consciousness to the level of neutrality[*] (it ranks 250 on this scale) while reading this peace initiative, at least try to activate the virtue of thoughtfulness, positiveness, benignity, or goodwill (225), or openness (240), or permissiveness and flexibility (245), so as to be able to take advantage from it.
Anyone, who is at any mode of consciousness that calibrates below 200 on this scale, would not have any use for this peace initiative. Being apriori critical, skeptical, pessimistic, rival, or unconsciously propaganda-driven are the modes of consciousness that would prevent you from finding a solution both here or anywhere else, so raise your consciousness to any constructive mode you wish. The higher you go up the scale of consciousness[+], the more able you are to perceive the truth. By activating any of those constructive modes of consciousness (any that ranks above 200 on the scale of consciousness, which we call virtues) you “turn on the inner light” which is stronger than the “dark” that you might have found yourself in. Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
Ukraine missed all opportunities to strike a favorable peace deal by breaching all peace deals with Russians since 2014 (two Minsk agreements and backing off from the Istanbul peace deal in 2022), which is why it has to face the consequences. Signing a peace deal now would mean the end of Ukraine as we know it, but this is not a bad thing because Ukraine as we know it is the poorest and the most corrupt country in Europe that was never really independent or sovereign. One way or another, Ukraine as we knew it already ended but even if it managed to retake all its lost territories, Ukraine would never be the same because it would go on to join the EU and NATO and so lose all of its independence or sovereignty.
To join the West, Ukraine must do as told, follow their rules and regulations, which was not the case by aligning with Russia. Also, Western predators have already seized the control of most of Ukraine’s natural resources and society is so Americanized[»] that there’s no trace of any Slavic identity or culture there. Peace with Russia means going back to the roots and drawing power from them rather than from some artificial, binding foreign support.
Signing a peace deal now would give Ukraine a chance to keep many territories, which Russia would otherwise be able seize. Russian military, economic and political superiority, as well as Ukrainian allies’ fatigue and shift of focus to other global hot-spots (Israel, Iran, China, Africa…) pose a major threat to Ukraine as it may suffer further huge losses for nothing and lose the backing of its allies, which would mean, it would have to surrender to Russia. Even with an unprecedented support from NATO, let alone when it diminishes, Ukraine has been unable to prevail against the Russian superpower. Therefore, before it’s too late, Ukraine should end this right now before Russia seizes[+][+] even more territories, such as the whole of the eastern bank from the Dnieper River as well as a land bridge to their folk (more than 220.000 Russian citizens) in Transnistria, including Odesa[»][»]. It is about cutting the damage now rather than wait for greater futile losses.
It is impossible to craft a truce that would be 100% agreeable to both or any conflicted sides, that is why some concessions should be allowed. To enter into the peacemaking process in good faith, please allow that not all points in this peace initiative are to your liking and focus on the big picture – all in all, this is a win-win truce for both sides, even if both sides might lose something as well. While counting the losses, do not let that blind you to seeing all the benefits of this truce. The main benefit is peace.
At wars, there are no winners, in peace, there are no losers.
The proposed truce's main purpose is to end all atrocities and hostilities along with achieve peace and stability in the war zone and beyond through virtues rather than force, finding a resolution that is agreeable to all involved parties – a win-win truce.
The immediate purpose of the agreement is to cease the military confrontation and prevent it from resuming.
If the truce is not reached immediately, this peace initiative is meant to also serve as a means of fostering a wider public discussion on conflict resolution. This proposition is conceived to end the conflict with the strength of virtues rather than military strength. By “virtues”, it is meant a whole arsenal of virtues (constructive modes of consciousness), which should not be confused with morality or ethics. The winner(s) will be those with a high(er) level of collective consciousness (as explained below).
Human consciousness expresses itself in a variety of modes (as presented on an arbitrary scale of consciousness[+]), constructive and destructive ones (virtues and flaws), and the approximate average of the values of all these modes each person or a collective or a nation engages in throughout each day, amounts to what we call a level of consciousness. According to the scientifically proven Consciousness Theorem[+], the level of collective consciousness determines the level of collective achievement. In other words, the higher the collective consciousness level of a nation, the higher its ability to achieve its goals, including peace and prosperity.
The only way to end the violence and foster stability is by putting end to rivalry by raising consciousness[+] towards embracing unity and peace.
Thank you for reading this article and participating in this peace initiative by raising your awareness and, hopefully, your consciousness and spirit. To properly grasp everything, we[*] recommend reading the articles of this peace initiative for Ukraine in the proper order, which is listed in the Contents. So if you haven’t read the previous articles, we recommend that you do. When you are ready, please proceed to the next article in a new segment: The Roots Of The Crisis in Ukraine
Consciousness is not mere awareness or wakefulness but a subtle dimension of who we are, which is the primary cause of everything that happens to us; when raised, it is a constructive force that creates everything in our life, helps us make the right decisions as well as come up with the best ideas and solutions. It is a primordial cause and fundamental force or source of creation.
Human consciousness expresses itself in a variety of modes throughout each day (as presented on an arbitrary scale of consciousness[+]), constructive and destructive ones (virtues and flaws), and the approximate average of the values of all these modes each person or a collective or a nation engages in throughout each day, amounts to what we call a level of consciousness. Consciousness Theorem[+], the level of collective consciousness determines the level of collective achievement. In other words, the higher the consciousness level of a nation, the higher its ability to achieve its goals, including peace.

Eastern Slavs kinfolk consist of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. There are also Western Slavs (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland) and Southern Slavs (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia).

Russophiles — people who are fond of Russia or Russian culture
Donbas[+] is a coal mining region that was part of eastern Ukraine from 1922-2022 (now part of Russia) consisting of two Republics - Donetsk and Luhansk - where most residents have been Russians for centuries. In 2022, after Bolsheviks defeated the Ukrainian nationalists, Lenin gave that part of former Russian Empire with mostly ethnic Russian residents to the Soviet Republic of Ukraine under condition that it remains part of the Soviet Union and under Moscow governance (Kyiv administration) but in 1991, Ukraine violated that agreement by breaking off from the Soviet Union and from Moscow, and since 2014, Ukrainians had been demolishing all Lenin's monuments, therefore they have no rights to claim the territories he conditionally granted them. Since Ukrainians hate Lenin and Stalin so much that they demonize them, then in the Russian view[+], it is only fair to give back all the land[ꚛ] that Lenin and Stalin allocated to Soviet Ukraine, without even asking the locals’ permission (the majority were Russians in Donbas).
we refer to Kyiv as a regime[+] due to its oppressive and repressive policies, corruption, and foul treatment of its ethnic minorities, such as the ethnic Russians, violating their human rights, tyrannizing, and killing them since 2014.
Among others, Ukraine violated The Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation[+][+pg.31], which was an agreement between them signed in 1997, which fixed the principle of strategic partnership, the recognition of the inviolability of existing borders, and respect for territorial integrity and mutual commitment not to use its territory to harm the security of each other (“Neither Party shall allow its territory to be used to the detriment of the security of the other Party”) – Ukraine's request to join NATO in 2008 violated that provision of the Article 6 of the treaty because by joining NATO, Ukraine would allow Ukrainian territory to be used to the detriment of the security of Russia as Russian adversary NATO would be free to deploy its military and missiles there. The new Ukrainian President Yanukovych revoked the NATO application in 2010 but then NATO funded and orchestrated protests and revolution to overthrow him in 2013-2014, so, in June 2017, a new NATO-puppet Ukrainian parliament passed a law making integration with NATO a foreign policy priority[+], clearly violating that Treaty with Russia. In 2018, then-Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko terminated that Treaty. And on 7 February 2019, parliament amended[+][+] the Constitution to state Ukraine's strategic objective as joining the NATO despite most of the public being against joining the NATO, as all polls[+][+] showed (in February 2014, the support for joining NATO fluctuated between only 15-20% and even after secession of Crimea and the war in Donbas in 2021, only 48% would support it – still a minority with ethnic Russians in Crimea and Donbas were not even polled).
The Article 6 of the treaty also prescribed that both parties “shall not conclude any treaties with third countries against the other Party,” which Ukraine violated by both requesting to join NATO and by concluding the European Union–Ukraine Association Agreement[?+] (that sparked the Euromaidan protests in 2013 that escalated into Maidan Revolution in February 2014), which prohibited Ukraine to trade with Russia, turning Ukraine against Russia as Russia would lose a lot of money and all the benefits as a Ukrainian main trade partner.
Ukraine violated also the Article 12 of the Treaty in February 2014 by proposing the bill to ban Russian language in many spheres of life whereby violating the protection of the ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and religious originality of national minorities on their territory, just to name a few. Ukraine failed to “protect the ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious diversity of ethnic minorities in their territory and shall create conditions that encourage such diversity; and shall guarantee the right of persons belonging to ethnic minorities, individually or together with other persons belonging to ethnic minorities, freely to express, preserve and develop their ethnic, cultural, linguistic or religious diversity and promote and develop their culture without being subjected to any attempts to assimilate them against their will” as it adopted several discriminatory offensive laws against the Russian language and the rights of Russian speakers in Ukraine. Already on 23 February 2014, the new unelected Kyiv regime made a proposal in the Ukrainian parliament to abolish the language law[+][+][+] (that granted regional status to the Russian language) so as to prohibit the use of Russian language in courts, schools, and other government institutions. In 2017, they passed the education law which further violated the rights of all ethnic minorities, as well as that Treaty with Russia.
Since February 2014, the new Kyiv regime violated also its own Declarations of Independence and Sovereignty of Ukraine by abandoning neutrality, allowing the EU to prohibit Ukraine to trade with Russia, and disrespect for ethnic minorities (restricting the free use of their languages). Only based on that Declaration did Russia allow Ukraine to keep Crimea and Donbas in the 1991 break-up, so when Ukraine dishonored it, Russia was no longer obliged to honor its part of the deal.
In 2018, then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree not to extend the treaty[+], which is why this treaty was then no longer in effect when Russia launched its SMO in 2022. Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kremlin Press Secretary criticized Ukrainian move towards termination of the Treaty, calling it ‘shooting yourself in the foot’. Indeed, by first turning against Russia with application to NATO in 2008 and the Association Agreement[+] with the EU in 2013/2014 that banned trade with Russia, and then breaking off the Treaty agreements in 2018 and reaffirming the decision to join NATO in 2017 (passing a law making integration with NATO a foreign policy priority[+]) and enshrining that aim in its Constitution in 2019[+], Kyiv was responsible for its own downfall. Since then, Russians had no obligation stick to their part of the deal – to honor Ukraine’s territorial integrity and acknowledge the inviolability of the borders.
Zelensky said that because Putin suggested Ukraine was behind the Moscow terrorist attack in March 2024 but somehow Zelensky is not "sick, cynical creature" for saying Putin killed Navalny!
